Another Weekend Retreat - Been & Gone

Wednesday, July 1st, 2009

Well it was a fantastic weekend, despite the cold. Thankfully I remembered to take my hot water bottle this year, so I was able to sit that on my lap and take it to bed to keep out some of the chill. Thankfully that was only the first day I went up. I think that must have been the coldest day to date. When we got up in the morning the grass had turned from green to white and their were these frosty little shapes on my car. I think it tried to snow whilst others keep telling me it was just frost…..LOL, Im sticking to the snow story. Will post pictures later tell me what you think.

The challenge this year was done on a Friday night, as one of the guest had to leave late Saturday afternoon, all though everyone dread it, they get on with it, with some amazing results. This year in their goody bag they each received a tin, lettering, paper, stamp and some other odds and ends. They had to decorate the tin and make 5 cards to go with it. They were or gorgeous and it was hard to pick a winner. Karen Holder was the winner, winning herself a Letter Storage donated by Printblocks.

Next year is booked again, at this stage if nothing changes it will be held in May, looking forward to catching up with everyone again.

Keep checking back as I will post pictures of the challenge as well.
